Well, I couldn't pass up the 15% off RO sale at Marine Depot and finally ordered a booster pump. I got the Spectrapure booster pump kit which includes the Aquatec CDP8800. I've got a couple of questions about getting it setup and how to use it. First, how do you go about setting the pressure correctly? I've read around 100psi is great so after I hook it up to I adjust it while it is turned on or do you only adjust it with it off?

Second question is about the manual flush. Do I run the booster pump when manually flushing or just use regular water pressure?

Thanks.

The booster pump kit will come with this owners manual which should explain everything.

I don't use or believe flush kits have any proven documented value other than to lighten your wallet and give you a warm fuzzy feeling but for it to possibly do anything at all you need to flush for a minute or two each and every time you shut the RO/DI off. Flush it with the booster pump running normally.
Instead of a flush kit you would be much better off with a DI bypass valve which fits on the treated water side between the membrane and the DI filter, not the waste line like a flush kit, and is opened each time you start the system and flushes the TDS creep out which shortens the lifespan of the DI resin.

Thanks for the advice.

I may end up not even using the flush kit. Just ordered it on a whim. Not really worried about DI. It is cheap and lasts a long time for me.
