I got my frag of the LE Green Jacketed Divaricata from Steve himself a couple months back and since then it has grown nicely. However, my mini colony's color is off and the graft has not really spread at all.

Here is a current picture of my mini colony, you can see the graft on the bottom right of the base.

My first question is, how do I get the color of the acropora to be blue/purple like it is suppose to be, rather than the pastelish green that mine currently is? I am thinking the cause is its close proximity to my t5's, which is why I am going to replace one of my bulbs with an actinic.

My second question is, how can I speed up the graft on the coral?

Also, if you have pictures of your frag or colony, please post them!

Have you tried local CFT via Blitzburggirl? She got the one I passed up on a few years back .

I have the same issue, mine browned out during an alk swing I had in spring the grafting hasn't ever really colored back up. I will take a pic when I get home!

I did not know that they had one. I might just pm her about it. Thanks for the lead!

Nice^. Your base color is correct though, the purpl/blue color.

I bought a complete system and this piece came with it. As for how to spread the graft part, I would say it probably just takes time. The coral is under 250W radium 20k and VHO.

Wow! Your colony is perfect! That is how I want mine to look. Mine has no blue on it though, it is dark green with neon green graft.
