questions on moving to a new tank

i have a 40 breeder i have been tinkering with. keeping a handful of softies and lps alive...i have watched the brs 52 weeks more than once. i am building a 90 gal tank in hopes of moving over the few fish and corals i already have..i plan on a dip(bought some coral dip from lfs..i think i was expired when i bought it switched to bayer ) and quarantine method for fish and frags.. but my question is about my live rock. like i said i think my first dip was junk and now i have noticed a few flat worms(have some flatworm exit on the way) When i move my live rock over should i dip it in bayer also or -----? i am not sure any input would be appreciated..

I wouldnt dip it in Bayer EVER. I would assume it would absorb a lot of the chemical and potentially leach it into your new tank eventually. Whenever ive done research on Bayer dips im pretty sure they even recommend not using ceramic frag plugs for that same reason. If you were going to dip your rocks at all I would probably suggest just a fresh water dip. using such harsh chemicals in the aquarium at all seems a bit of a risk to me but for coral dips id consider it but not for rocks. Not to mention you would kill off all your beneficial bacteria in the process. Which you might with a freshwater dip too, im not sure..

Yeah the leeching makes sense. ..so saliferts flat worm exit....is ther anything else I could do to rid pests

I'm not sure on that I've yet to have to treat for pests myself. sorry!
