Questions on the Apex classic

So I’m picking up an apex classic tomorrow with everything but the brain which I’ll be getting soon. My question is, is there an app I can download to run it or do I have to buy the controller? I really don’t want to spend $100 for apex’s digital controller since I have a tablet I could download an app on to use.

I am in the same boat- I picked up a used Classic, and the controller is busted (it got dropped into the water?) and I tried the app- it says that there is a code that you find on the controller to be able to link to it. Sooooooo it seems like we gotta bite the bullet and buy the controller?

Threw the fusion app or yes the website fusion app if no phone or tablet is available.
so download the app and make an account

You need to connect the brain to classic dashboard

With the apex cd you can log into apex from pc again on same network easily

I am not sure if there's away around it. Since it's a classic. You need the display to see token before you can link it with your account on Fushion. You could borrow the display from a friend.

Yes flash utility is on the cd that I referred to above and this shows how to get the utility without having the cd nice

Wait I’m so confused so what’s the point of the flash utility? I can’t even use that if I don’t have a display right?

You can get that utility straight from Neptune. I did the entire process recently for an apex classic I bought
