So I am one of the surviving members of the Chat reef club.... Since no one there talks or meets or does anything for that matter.... I am looking for a new club. So where are you guys located?? What's the benefits of joining? How often do you meet?? Any other stuff that should be known? Lol!! Sorry for the questions but thank you for the info!! Nemo

Welcome to VRJ! We're in the Knoxville and surrounding areas. We are currently negotiating discounts with a local fish store, exclusive to VRJ members. We meet once a month (this month's meeting will be held in Maryville on the 27th) generally at a member's house. At every meeting we try to do some sort of demonstration. Last meeting we drilled a tank. We will be drilling another couple of tanks this month. This month's meeting would be an EXCELLENT meeting to attend, and we would be ecstatic to have you. I'll send you a PM with my info. Feel free to give me a call after 3:30pm any day this week.
 
Where in Ga. are you Captain,the meeting will be at my house this month and its a straight shot up I75 - Cartersville exit 411 HWY. to Maryville or I75 all the way Lenoir City exit 321 to my house,would like to have!!!!

I am in ringgold, just below Chattanooga. I unfortunately can't make this meeting because I am working weekend nights for the next month or two. Boo! I am in the process of building a new tank anyways... I will def check out the site. Thanks for all the info so far guys!

So my last remaining corals have died... It is a difficult task to keep them alive in a garbage can...I have one clown left.... It is a sad day.... Lost my brain and frogspawn today... :(
 
Oh no! That stinks. Why the garbage can? Has something happened to your tank. Sorry if I've missed some info somewhere.

Whats Up Captain? You never mentioned that you had tank problems,or any thing related to that?We probley could have help like Sluf said if we had only known.Please explain if you feel like it,maybe we can still help??:squigglemouth:
 
I shut my tank down to put down hardwoods in November.... Long story... Will explain later tonight. :)
 
Anyways, I shut down my tank to put down the hardwoods, I left what I had with a friend who owns an tank service company. I lost a colony of Duncan's, and torch coral. Plus a 16" diameter toadstool and a lot of zoos. Also lost my regal tang, 3 chromis, flame angel, and a black ice clown. He claims he didn't kill them, but they disappeared.... Maybe he didn't, maybe he sold them... I don't know... He won't replace them nor compensate for them... So sadly I got what was left, one black ice clown and my frogspawn and brain coral.... Now all that is left alive is the clown and maybe the brain.... It's iffy....
 
If it doesn't survive, all I will have left is the clown out of all I had.... I have started my new build... Bought 3 Vegas for lighting and have a hurricone cat 1 skimmer too. Now looking for a tank and stand and canopy.... 125g is what I would like... I have a 65g if anyone needs one and a 250w MH double ended light too...
 
Also I need to know who to send the check to so I can join you guys....

It is a bummer to lost so much. Well, it is a bummer to lose any livestock. Sorry
