I'm setting up a 75 gal FowLR tank. Are the levels of magnesium, calcium, phosphate and KH as important in this type of setup as they are is a reef tank?

Nope. Nitrates and phosphates are probably the most important to test for, and I'd imagine regular water changes would probably keep your pH and alkalinity stable for the most part.

This tank is little to no testing of anything (but when I was trying to get a Sulphur BioDenitrator going, it tested out at Nitrates: 160 or above, Phosphates: 5.0). Very few water-changes, if any. Welcome to the FOWLR world! Lol.

PS: Currently I only clean the front glass.
