Can brook be brought into a tank on corals / inverts in the same way ich can?

I've searched and searched online and can't find anything... I've found a couple of things that suggest the lifecycle completes on the fish, which is my understanding, but I'm not 100% and would really like some evidence to back this up if it's correct.

Thanks.

Take it from someone who lost all their fish to brook, it can be brought in on other than fish. I still haven't figured out how, but I lost all fish to brook back in August and my tank is sitting fishless right now. I have new fish in quarantine waiting to go in, November 6 I'll be able to add fish back into my display tank again.
