What do you feel is the best approach to nitrates and phosphates?

A quick daily burst of nitrates/phosphates with your daily feeding that is quickly filtered out so as to have ULN most of the day.

Or

A constant level of nitrates/phosphates throughout the day.

What are your No3's and Po4's?

I currently try to keep mine at a constant 10-15 nitrates and .04-.08 phosphate. I am curious about other aquarist experience with constant nutrients versus near zero nutrients with a daily burst.

How these affect coloration?

How is polyp extension?

Overall health of coral?

You aiming at like a ZEO vit system, stripping your nutrients and dosing once a day for the super pastel colors.

Just always looking to learn a little more from others and maybe improve my reef with the new knowledge. What's your take on nutrients?

I'll dose 24 ml sodium nitrate in my tank to keep it at 5ppm.
Thinking about setting up a cole-parmer pump to just dose No3 constant in a slow rate.
