Quick frag ID if you wouldn't mind :) video included

Hello everyone

I was hoping to get some ID help here please

I got this frag along with a Montipora frag. I had never really thought about SPS b/c I'm still a noob and did't think I could successfully keep them. But in the beginning I had gotten a Bird of Paradise(?) frag that has been doing really well from what I can tell (growth & color). So, when 2 weeks ago the LFS guy gave me the 2 frags for $2.50 each - I couldn't pass it up.

here is a video of the frag in question - Millepora? If no - then what could it be? If yes - can it be narrowed down?

Hard to say. Too fuzzy. A pic with the polyps retracted would help. It could be a Acropora millepora, if it is then you will want to give it more flow and light.

Yes it looks like a Millepora. Yes you can break off the stalks but that is a nice encrusting piece.

It could be a Acropora millepora, if it is then you will want to give it more flow and light.

Thanks for the link! If it needs more flow and light, I'll have to think about placement again lol it honestly couldnt get more light in my current tank. Its placed pretty high in the tank now - 3in below the water line. for flow - I have about 375gph total turn over. do they generally need more than that?

No no i meant the acro is fuzzy. To get a better idea i like to see the skeleton without all the polyps in the way.

The picture was good. Maybe give it a poke or wait till the night when the polyps have retreated.
