Hello My name is Tim and I just wanted to say a quick hello, my wife , kids and myself have a 60 gallon tall marine tank, that we started about 3.5 months ago, As of right now we have 2 reg clowns, a sixline wrasse, a 4 strip damsel and 2 yellow tail damsels, It started out as a FOWLR tank but slowly she saw corals and all the "pretty" things and it has some zoas and a mushroom, a Kenya tree and as of today a couple frogspawns I was given, I know it sounds like a lot but we let the tank cycle completely and added the fish at different times and allowed the tank to stabilize and everything is happy and good right now, I took a piece of rock out today to see what I could do with a different idea I had but still have roughly 50 lbs of rock in the tank. I will try and post some pics here in just a little while when I get home from work and don't have to use my wifi stick and burn up data on it. But for now I wanted to say hello and that we are excited to be on here and hopefully can contribute to the forum and not make a fool out of ourselves to often

Untitled | Flickr - Photo Sharing! This is a old picture of the tank I forgot I had on storage, hopefully the link will work for you all, the water looks cloudy because I had to pick up a rock I knocked over doing something if memory serves. I took that one out of the middle front out this morning to give me more sand bed for flow and coral spots, it was blocking the flow off the power head I have on the tank to half of the tank.

Welcome looking forward to them pics.

Welcome to R2R Tim

Thank you all for the kind things about my reef. I finally got to test my calc and alk but my alk was off the chart high. So i did a water change to lower it, should I wait till this afternoon to retest or will the resuslts be correct right after the change is done. Meaning does everything need a chance to mix and stabilize for a while or is it all set right after the water change?

Managed to get the lights hung tonight. Left it about the same height the legs had it at. Figured I can always move them if need be. They look on but its the flash off the camera phone.

very cool! what kind of lights? Oh! and welcome to the forum! Do you think you will add more rock?

They are wave point 24" t5 4bulb lights. That I am slowly switching to ati bulbs. As for the rock maybe, the wife keeps seeing more pieces she likes.
