That's what I figured out after they were in the tank. The smaller one actually looked much more pale in the store. The owner told me they were a mated pair. Chalk that unexpected up to inexperience on my part. I didn't know fish rolled that way
. Oh, well, so far they are getting along well.

Could't resist. I actually went into town to get a 2nd leopard wrasse. Gonna have to wait on that one.

He'll be fine in your tank. I have two triggers in my reef and the biggest issue is that the spit gravel on my corals. Crabs are fine and I even have a conch. I have seen my Picasso go after the conch's eyes, but never actually tries to eat him.

One thing to think about too is they are known to occasionally rearrange the landscaping and rocks.
