Can you guys please help, when i suck up my tank water in the syringe theres a gap of air between water and rubber part of the syringe. Is that ok or should i try to get the air bubble out? (testing water with red sea test kit)

Turn the syringe upside down, suck in a bit more air, now expell out the air (and maybe a drop or two of water), carefully place the syringe back in the water and suck up all water. You're now filled with water only.

I pull In the water a bit and push the plunger down few times in the water and release the air and then I have all water. Air gaps will impede the results.

A lot of test kits compensate for that air gap. Take salifert for example, it specifically states in the directions that the air is supposed to be there and is already compensated for.

Please read above posters.

Some test kits like Salifert compensate for that air gap. It is totally ok. Just line up the black grommet to 1.0 and leave the air gap.
