Hello,
just recently saw some early brook signs on a damsel, that has now spread to a juvie angel. did a freshwater dip and saw no evidence of flukes so i am assuming this is brook. I have this Quick ich X by hikari that i have used before for brook that sort of worked... but i think i got the dosage/instructions wrong

Has anyone used this treatment before for brooklynella? 22% formaldehyde, instructions say 3 drops per 2 gallons every 24 hours, with a 25% water change with each dosage but these instructions are for ICH. it also says to continue dosage for 3 days after the symptoms have disappeared.

i know a formaldehyde bath is the norm for brook but i just dont trust myself in administering that properly

It may be easier to just treat with Metroplex. If you have a QT.

i do have the hikari metro+, but i already started dosing the quick ich x.... and this morning one of the damsels did show some less frothyness? (the stuff that looks like excess mucus)

It's very likely brook then.

I just have never used that product. I am sure you will be fine.

You would need metronidazole that can be dosed directly into the water column to combat brook.
