Here’s a quick and helpful lesson for Apex users.
Sunday am I changed my Alk reagent, was in a bit of a hurry, I thought I made sure my hoses were all good but evidently not.
the next test had my Ca+ jump by 100 points, I did a manual test and it was about 450(in line with where it had been).
I figured I would let it sit and perhaps shake out. The next day I went to over 790! ( on the trident test).
It was easy to verify that I did get a Ca+ OD as the level of 2 part hadn’t changed. I had shut the DOS off just to be sure.
manual test again showed 450 ish.
I opened the tray and moved the lines around, primed the reagents and re ran a test….Boom back to where it should be.
2 lessons, if a test doesn’t make sense repeat manually, double check all the hoses.
It also affected my Mg reading.
