Quick Look at the new Nero 5 Submersible pump

Hello reefers,
Here another video about product that i saw at MACNA in Las Vegas 2018

That pump caught my attention because it's really small for what it deliver. I was impress by the UI app they did to control the pump with your smartphone. I'm curious to test my self in a real aquarium, if i can get a unit at home i will do a proper review of it!


I don't know if it's compatible with Apex for the moment.

I believe this pump works with tanks up to 1/2" glass. My glass is 3/4", anyone know if there are plans to make one of these pumps that will work with 3/4" glass?

I asked my self this question, i have a feeling it can work on 3/4 but the company just don't recommand it, if the magnet was just a little bit bigger it wouldn't be an issue, wonder why they made it so small (well for marketing reason its good...)
If i can review it i will find a 3/4 glass to test how solide it is.

Thanks, Aqua Splendor, I hope you are able to review this pump on 3/4" glass. I remember when the first generation Gyre pump became available, and a lot of people with 3/4" glass complained about the pump sliding down the glass. The Gyre people came up with a few solutions. One of which was to add another magnet to the pump. This worked fine for me. Maybe the good people at AI will come up with a similar solution.
