Need to reduce from a 1” PVC fitting down to 1/2” barb for vinyl tubing. What would be the best and most direct way? I keep trying to plan it out but come up with several adapters, thinking there has to be an easier way… was thinking about a 1” spigot x 1/2” slip, but can’t figure out the 1/2” slip to barb connection… thanks in advance.

You can do it like this...

Then this to fit inside the 1/2" slip.

Should be the right size...you can also try home depot or lowes. Some have stock...

Most hose barb connections will fit in the sch 40 pvc. I have done this many times. If you are glueing (which sounds like you are), you may want to look for a barb that goes from 1" end to 1/2" tubing. I have a few like this on hand so I know they exist. Good luck!

Get a 1" x 1/2" schedule 40 pvc reducer fitting with the 1/2" end having ftp threads. Also get a nylon 1/2" barbed fitting and screw it into place with ptfe thread tape. The nylon will handle the stress of forcing the tubing on better than pvc.

Or if you already have the 1" slip coupler just get a reducer bushing to 1/2" slip to keep it low pro....then put the spigot barb in there.
Think I got it. BRS carries the 1” spigot to 1/2” slip, then I can put that 1/2” spigot to barb you linked in that. Thanks

Can’t find this fitting, I’ve been trying trust me. Need a 1” spigot to 1/2” barb.

Not sure where you are, but try PVCFittings.com, Off hand cannot remember the others.
Think I found it… This should go right into the slip 1” T.
