Quick question about Jebao DCT 12000

Hi. I was running a Big Blue for my return pump. I wanted more GPH as it was only doing 146 gph after the long return tube. I got a Jebao DCT 12000 which was very clean. Doesn't look used but I think it was. I notice on the Jebao that when I turn up to where only two more circles remain unlit that I can hear it. There is a high whine. I turn it down one and cannot hear it. I don't like messing with pump once installed. Should the whine be concerning? Its not terrible but it is audible.

Check the impeller and the hole for impeller for any dead snails or debris inside and assure magnet not all scored up

I took it apart and cleaned it. Interesting on the 4th bar no noise. 5th bar there is a high whine. 6th bar noise stops.

Is the whine coming from the pump itself or from the controller?

Seems like its from the pump. Its mostly quiet in 1,2,3,4 & 6. But 5 whines. 6 is too strong for my current overflow box. 5 might be just right. I am running it on 4 with no excessive noise.

Might be an electrical whine, but hard to diagnose from afar. You could always set it to 6 and put a valve inline with the pump outlet and dial it back that way.

As odd as it is .
I have only jeabo pumps running my entire system and they are all dead silent .
9000 for my skimmer , 15000 for my return pump and a 6000 for my mixing bucket .

I run all of them at 100% except for the return pump I have turned down to 95%
If my ato runs dry before I get a chance to make
Water I’ll sometimes turn the return pump down to 70%
