I remember reading they were not actually a snail, but a "predatory whelk" and now the word predatory keeps echoing in my mind as my expensive new slugs are in my tank somewhere (hiding in the rocks or in whelk stomachs.)

Thanks

Though peaceful, the Bumble Bee Snail is a carnivore. If there is insufficient food, the Bumble Bee Snail may feed on other snails in your aquarium or indiscriminately consume polychaetes whether beneficial or the more troublesome bristleworm. In well-established systems, most Bumble Bee Snails do not require supplemental feeding. However, if sufficient food sources are unavailable, supplement their diet with offerings of meaty foods, including finely chopped brine or mysis shrimp and frozen meaty foods.

Well, up until yesterday I was regretting the purchase of the nudibranches because I never saw them again after I put them in. Yesterday however I saw them in both my display and quarantine tanks. I saw adults and babies! So I guess the bumblebee snails are leaving them alone.

How long did it take you to see them again after no sightings?

Don't regret it. They work at night. You will see all the aptaisia dissappear in a few weeks.

Thanks. I just added some to my tank.

I added 5 to my tank hoping would help with tiny vermitids. Did see one eating a trochus. But could have also been eating one that died naturally. They are nocturnal mostly, so dont see them out during light hours much .
