Quick question guys. Which is preferred more, External or internal overflow?

Been seeing videos of both, and its kinda hard to see which is better. Thanks in advance

It really depends. External is easy to plan the scape around since the back is flush. Also maximizes tank volume.

But external is hard to plan the tank around especially if you want it flush against the wall

Hmm what about internal? what are it's plus?

It's plus and minuses would be the opposite of what I listed for external.

Less space and harder to aquascape around, but easy to plan external parts around

I thought I’d like external but I wouldn’t do it again. I’d much rather have internal and keep everything more contained. I also found internal much easier to keep quiet

Aquascape is simply the scape inside your aquarium. How you place the rocks mostly. Some people like arches and caves others like stacked rocks.

Ohhh so internal more quiet, and external is outside so its more bulky?, i'm kinda looking for a simplistic view so internal would be a good way to go? Thanks
