Quick question with return/loc-line/drilling

Hi everyone, Just need some quick compatibility help to make sure what i do will actually work in the end on my 12g cube

I plan to use this drill bit on the tank for my return line.
Then I plan to use this 1/2 bulkhead for the hole I just drilled.
To then finally use this Loc-Line with that bulkhead.

This is all with my Eclipse S overflow box going down.

Anyone know if all that stuff for the return will work out, hole size, bulkhead size and what not?
It all looks fine to me but I'm so paranoid I'm going to have something wrong in the mix here. Suggestion are always welcome too!

Do a test drill on a piece of plastic or scrap glass to check fit before using on your tank. Sometimes bits are mislabeled . . .

I’m thinking you’re going to need a bigger bit. Something around 7/8” to 1”, maybe even 1 1/8”. I’m using 3/4” bulkhead fittings and they drill to 1 3/8”.

Yea that was a concern of mine i was hoping for ID OD information but after i read you comment i saw a QA on the amazon page for the bulk head stating I would need 1 1/4" hole to fit the bulkhead. Glad you brought this up!

Hope it helped. Good luck. BTW, if your tank glass is less than 1/4” thick, be really careful drilling it. Thin glass breaks reeaaalllyy easy.

I got the overflow hole already, took my sweet time doing that. I put the overflow dead center on the back glass panel and now i was to put two return lines on each side of the overflow. Worries i'm making it more and more fragile with each hole

I have the same thoughts about the weakening of the glass. I need two 2” holes in the center and 1 3/8” holes at each end. I’m a little apprehensive about drilling that many holes in one panel of glass
