Quick question

As long as it is submersible I don't see why it would be a problem. But a maxijetwould work just the same and be cheaper

It's not submersible, this is an exterior pump, for my saltwater mixing station. I'm wanting a strong pump so I can use it for water changes from my shop outside about 100 feet or more away.

That pump is only 634 gph

So from my shop to my house it will take it will take 5 minutes to add 20 gallons of water and that includes moving the hose and plugging in the pump.

I think I'm being misunderstood in all this. I will have a saltwater mixing station outside in my shop. Two 55 gallon drums stacked on top of each other, plumbed together to circulate the water and mix the salt in. So the 634gph pump will turn the water in a 55 gallon drum 11.53 times in an hour. I think that will be more than enough to circulate that water so my water can age for several hours or overnight if need be.

I only want to know if the pump I listed will be SAFE to use with my livestock.

Sorry for any confusion on the topic.

Thanks
Mark

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Not sure if it has any metalic pieces inside the propeller area or not, but it would do the job. I personally have been using a mag 18 for about 3 years for mine with no issues.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. I'll do more research and try to find out what the internals are. I wanna say the impeller is aluminum.

The reviews are hit or miss at best. There are many more suitable, reliable pumps. Cost savings vs reliability/suitability really don't seem worth the gamble in my opinion. A mag 12 or higher would be a good option, and I believe Chameleon was selling an external Reeflo pump that would be perfect for your application.

Id hunt a used mag pump. That one also pulls 370 watts almost double what a mag does.
