How often should I be checking my levels example cal, alk, phos all that good stuff

I don't know how to quote but exactly what Walt607 said. Weekly is enough and if you feel ambitious then twice a week. Depending upon how new the tank is you need to test more in the beginning. My tank is almost three years old and I test once a week. I also rely heavily on the response from my corals. I know exactly what they look like open and when they should be open and if something seems out of the ordinary I test without hesitation.

Like freak said it all depends on the tank. New tanks need to be checked often (a couple of times a week) but as they mature and become stable you can go months without check some stuff. I have a 5 year old tank that I only check alk/cal on and a 3 month tank that I check everything weekly It also depends on the owner also. The longer your the hobby the better you get at it.
