What are the requirements? What's involved in being in the reef squad?

Reef squad is largely an "earned" position. Select people are selected to help foster the type of community we hope to remain based on a track record or history of such behavior.

I'm not sure how I was given the opportunity but I guess they liked something about me

How long does it usually take to hear something or how will I know if they've accepted or denied my request?

I was not aware you could request, I know there are sometimes user nominations but I'm not sure of what you requested I didn't realize one could request. I wouldn't expect anything to happen with that, sorry!

Just keep up the good work and it may happen in time. I didn't realize reef squad existed (or I didn't know what it was anyway) when they offered it to me.
