Yes, I'll just keep these little guys for quite awhile and get the hang of everything before I'll add any more fish or anything harder to take care of. But thank you for all your wisdoms, lol. Very much appreciated. I'll probably raise it a bit. But the hang on back filter does a pretty good job on its own with agitating the surface and creating a good flow.
 
Run constant or on Pulse mode if your heads have it. Stagnant water is never good and its the movement that provides effective filtration as well as water movement and oxygen exchange
Same constant pulse Nero 5 2.5k gph to 900gph. Parent child set up off
Sync .5ms. Let it flow.
 
Should the powerhead be placed there? Even if it's directed to the surface but still pointed towards the live rock? Just needing everyone's opinion.
depends what you want to accomplish. i have mine closer to the top for water surface agitation which aids in keeping my tank cool. It also helps with gas exchange. only downfall with water surface agitation is evaporation is increased.
