Hi Folks! Ordered my Peninsula 7226! Not sure on when it will ship yet, but in advance of that, I had a quick question.

I plan to put the sump and ATO in my basement, where I will have a small room dedicated for it. Can anyone tell me the size of the plumbing on these tanks? Is it sch 40 or 80? Also, I will need to drill 2 holes in the bottom of the cabinet, for the drain and return. Any foreseeable issues in doing that?

Thanks in advance for any advice! We are very excited to setup a new tank, after a 6 year absence! (Now I just need to figure out how to get a 6 foot tank on top of the cabinet!)

I have all my equipment currently in the basement on a 100 gallon tank upstairs. I have a Hammerhead/Barracuda for my return. You will need a sizable pump to get the return water to flow enough. (mine is roughly flowing 750 gph chocked down some)
I have 1-1/2 plumbing from my return all the way up before my check valve then it turns into 1". Make sure you get a good gate valve to control the flow as well (both on the drain and return) also DO NOT USE A BALL VALVE from your local lowes/home depot)
My drain is also 1-1/2 all the way down till it goes into my roller mat than out of my rollermat to the sump it converts to 1-1/4. The rollermat can only handle around 600 gpm so before it goes into the rollermat I have a tee that is 1" to handle the access water being drained.

Attached are a few pics of my mess. This is before I added the tee and the correct gate valve.

This is under my stand up stairs. The ball valve for the drain on here is now wide open and controlled with a gate valve before it goes into the sump

Hope this helps!!
Let me know if you need any lighting. I have 3 brand new never used Radion XR30W pro G4's. I also have 3 diffusers and RMS mounting brackets. Ill sell cheap if interested.

Here is my current drain setup...
