Quick Zoa Question

I had a small frag plug with some zoas that were stuck on it from a previous piece I purchased. I figured I could simply remove the zoas from the frag plug and glue them on a piece of rubble rock I had (just for better looks).. Now after a week 2 of the maybe 15 heads i glued on will open.... Does it take this long usually? Is there something I should do? I was real careful removing them from the plug and I dont think I damaged any of them. But by them not opening makes me think I did.

Ive had zoanthids close for a week or more just for brushing against them cleaning the tank out. I would just give it time. a good sign there is something wrong is if there are copepods all over them at night. I've noticed they will swarm sick zoas when they are sick but the healthy ones seems to never have more than one or two crawling over them at night. Hope that helps

I will take a look once the lights go out, what should i do if they are sick?

I'm no expert but I usually resort to an iodine dip if push comes to shove if I notice polyps disappearing. I've had a 75% success rate with that. I usually dont do that unless they are melting though, Seems that moving stuff around does more harm than good sometimes.

ok i will take a look tonight to see if i see any copepods around them. But i think i will give them another week or so before getting really concerned. They may just be upset after getting moved. I also did a major water change and re aquascape at the same time. A big change for the tank and everything in it.
