I have some fish still gill scratching and twitching in QT. They have been through 30 days of copper, 2 weeks of Hypo, and two rounds of Prazi. A fresh water dip on one of the fish didn't reveal anything. Really nothing else to treat for at this time and I am about to move them into the display. Before I do so though I wanted to hit them with formalin just in case. Problem is I do not have another qt to drop them off in after the dip. If I go the 2 drops per gallon dosage into the QT how long do I treat for? The directions say to repeat up to 3 days. Should I do the 3 days and then repeat 7 days later?

I like to dip for 50 minutes. 20 drops per gallon. I run an airstone as Formalin is probably the worst of all with oxygen depletion. I normally do two dips 48-72 hrs apart. I only use it for Brooklynella or Uronema.

I really can't dip as I have no where to move the fish after. Putting them.nack in the same QT tank would defeat the purpose right?

Yeah kinda. I’d keep the fish on Copper or CP if they’re flashing or twitching unless you’ve observed Brooklynella. Are there any visual symptoms? Sometimes fish just flash.

No visual symptoms at all. They were flashing a lot more during copper. Settled down a lot once removed but still doing it gradually. Reduced even more in HYPO but starting up again after raising salinity.

Try running Acriflavine instead of Formalin to heal any wounds. They might be trying to scratch.

Will do. Just ordered Rally on Amazon and will be here Saturday. I did dose the first quickcure dose this morning. 2 drops per gallon. I guess should I continue use the next 2 days since I already started and then do the water change and carbon followed by rally?
