Any know of a quiet return pump that will not break the bank since I'm also buying a new skimmer soon. I've ran a Rio 2100 for the last two years and now that its in my living room, I cannot stand the noise level it has. Thinking a mag 9 or 12 for my 120. Also run my BRS dual media reactor and a frag tank off of this return pump.

I would look at the jebao 9000.... I have the 6000 and wish I would have went with the 9000. And they are dead silent. I had a sicce syncra silent 4.0 before this and it is amazing how much more silent it is

based on the fish street specs it seems like over kill for my system. perhaps if I ran a larger frag tank and got my skimmer on it then it may work. did you just get it through fish-street?

The mag pumps are going to be good work horse pumps, but tend to be noisy.
I really like the Eheim 1262.

noise is the only reason I'm not getting a mag drive. I'll try Jebao. Can anyone make a video review for these pumps? I've seen a couple but they're after a couple days of use.

Ive got a Jebao DC12000 and that thing is pretty quiet.

Jabao has a less then perfect track record.I would steer clear of them.Try these. Also "quiet" is a relative term. One persons quiet could be anothers obnoxious.

I have a Jaebo and so far I love it. It is absolutely silent. I love that fact that it is adjustable. Iwaki pumps tend to run a little on the hot side and they are terribly noisy but they do last a very long time in fact I think I still have a brand new backup in the box because I used them on my 350

I don't mind duration as long as I can get 1 to 2 years from it. My Rio 2100 drives me up a wall because of the noise level it produces.

i have a smaller tank, but i've been running the Reef Octopus DC3500. i like it a lot. it's quiet, variable, and don't use as many watts as other pumps. if i went bigger, i'd probably stick with Reef Octopus and go w/ a larger DC pump.
