Hey all,
I have a 40 gallon tank that's about 2 months old, and so far just have fish and inverts. I've been getting to the stage where I'm wanting some activated carbon filtration for water quality. I understand most HOB filters are gonna make noise, but my tank runs fairly quiet right now and I hope to keep it that way.
Aqueon advertises the Quietflow filter series as a quiet option, and I've seen posts here recommending the Fluval Aquaclear series. Really all I want to do is remove the stock cartridge and throw a media bag with carbon in the tray. I'll probably undersize since my skimmer handles the tank waste.
Only real priority is noise so Im curious what people's experiences are.
Thanks!
