I've seen multiple threads on this but haven't seen anything concrete. What is the quietest skimmer under $500? My return and powerhead are nearly silent and I would like a skimmer to match.

I've read this from multiple people but I've also seen people saying its not all that quiet..NYOS
I’ve got a 160 and 300, there not completely silent but very quiet
Right now inside my stand its about 40dB and outside about 35....I'd like to keep it that wayI've read this from multiple people but I've also seen people saying its not all that quiet..
That was also on my list....I don't find much of a difference with my doors open or closed...is it a good skimmer though? Like set and forget? My reef octopus essence 130 is pretty quiet. It’s not quiet in the cabinet, but the frequency that it hums is inaudible toe behind closed cabinet doors.
They arnt silent, but I’m sat between 2 very big tanks, including Abyzz pumps which are completely silent, and I can just hear a slight hum from 2 NYOS skimmers, that doesn’t bother me at allI've read this from multiple people but I've also seen people saying its not all that quiet..

Its one of those difficult questions because short of total silence what bothers one person might not another so...
It’s decent. It pulls pretty dark skimmate, but I’ve had better performance from RSK-300. However that thing hums like a beast. Skimmate from my essence 130. Easy to clean and disassemble. Don’t tinker with it much, so I set and forget but not sure if my expectations similar to yours. That was also on my list....I don't find much of a difference with my doors open or closed...is it a good skimmer though?
