Quietest wavemaker?

Been looking for a wavemaker upgrade for my 40 gallon IM fusion and as i have a girlfriend that can hear a mouse sneeze in the next county it has to be as silent as possible.
What would be my best option? Ecotech mp10wqd or Tunze Nanostream 6055 controllable? or something else?

My tank is mixed sps lps softies currently running an Aquamedic ecodrift 4,1 and Tunze 6045 pumps.

I run a Gyre 3k, after the 3rd day, I couldn’t here the pump at all. If it wasn’t for the strong flow I see, I wouldn’t know it is running.

My MP40wQD is quieter than my Tunze 6040. My tank is on my loft and I can hear my Tunze in the kitchen which is directly under the loft. I can’t even hear my MP40wQD while standing next to it. If I put my ear about 6 inches away, then I can hear it.

Well they must be exponentially quieter than the WEs because I can hear my MP40s anywhere in the house. They are by far the loudest items on my aquarium. I had Jebao PP-8s prior to these and they were much quieter but also had significantly lower flow (I suspect the new equivalent QPs from Jebao are considerably quieter than the WEs I have).

I think your choices including the gyre are good. I believe that keeping the pump clean is going to determine the overall quietness. I run gyre 3K and it's silent but after a month or 2 it will make noise until I clean the blades.

I have had a gyre xf230 on another tank and it was by no means silent, flow was great but not the short pulsing waves I am looking for. Think I might have to try an mp10wqd.
