Alright so a few days ago I had noticed my goby who originally was one of two orange spotted gobies paired to a snapping shrimp, he was off wandering the tank. He wasn’t with the shrimp in their cave like he was most of the time. About the same time I noticed my green banded goby was missing. I figured that he was just hiding when I was looking at the tank or died and eaten by CUC. So I go to clean my fuge today and they are both in there. My initial plan is to leave them both in there. My question is, will they both get enough food down there or would I have to spot feed them? I assume both have been down there for at least 4 days already.

I have not seeded. I did find many pods in my live rock and Chaeto when I took them out to clean of some hair algae

Do I need to spot feed the fuge for the shrimp and goby? Or would you suggest I take them out and put them back in the display

If it were me...I'd lightly lightly spotfeed....or establish a copepod colony....or put back in tank.

Just curious, why would you want to leave them in the 'fuge?

The only reason I would keep them down there is if I don’t need to spot feed them. But since it appears I am going to have to. I will likely bring them back up into the display. They are so small and seemed fine down there when I looked

If it were my tank, I would put them back. Pistol needs a companion. And what's the point of having them if you can't enjoy looking at them? They won't serve a purpose in the fuge that they can't do in the DT. Plus, I would worry they would eventually get sucked into the return pump.
