Hey all. Need some advice.

I have a qt setup right now. Using prazzy pro and pro biotic meds. Safe stuff. I'm concerned about using copper with a cleaner wrasse and a copperband. My concern is ich getting into my display again. How can you be sure your fish are not carrying ich without treating with copper?

I don't know if you truly can be sure without treatment.I've treated a couple of Copperbands and wrasses with Cupramine and a seachem multi copper test kit,with no problems at all. The hard part was keeping ammonia down.If your fish are not infected with visible Ich, you can add copper slowly over period of a week.the fish seem to handle it better when slowly added.

I would treat them both with copper.

Use copper power and Hanna checker.

And if you have a sponge in your display tank you can put it into your quarantine tank to help seed it. Of course you can't put it back in the display tank.

Thanks. This is my plan the. Had them all two weeks no issues. I also have had ich last on fish that are immune for months. Can't take the chance.

Black molly test might be an option for you. I personally would just treat with copper or CP.
