My first ever salt water fish was a onyx clown fish Annette and her male Franky
Today after 4 years she jumped out while I was at work

. The only change to the tank was a naso I almost never saw them interact but have a few times seen him turn around on her quickly during feeding sending her to the other side of the tank other then that no issues
I’m very heart broken about this my wife is crying as it was by far her favorite fish
I know I saw somewhere some one makes custom screen tops if. Could get a link to this person or the post I would be so great full please and thank you

I've had 2 female clowns jump due to shock from the light and them hosting the top of my tank and you can make a mesh screen for cheap got all the stuff on amazon

Loss of clowns are terrible especially ones that have been with you for years and especially due to jumping...sorry to hear.

I had one clown from a pair i had for about 3 years jump for no reason and die...after that got a mesh lid and never have to worry about that again. The diy ones are not that harf to cut and put together and I was able to do one for my red sea 650 by myself. The red sea diy lids are high quality and easy to build, unsure of brs ones but assume they are very similar in terms of ease of build.
