R/O water

Just a question of curiosity... what are the 5 stages for a R/O system?
It depends. Usually, a sediment prefilter, carbon filter, ro membrane, and 2 DI cartridges. The first 2 protect the ro membrane. The last 3 purify the water.

typically a five stage rodi would be - membrane, sediment, carbon and then two stages of di. however, depending on the water quality in your area, some people do use other filters especially if they have high chloramine levels.

Does this make sense?

I don't think that is DI. It looks like a drinking machine that you would use at a local supermarket to fill water. So i assume the last 2 it lists are just for marketing purposes to say they have better RO water

The 5 stages that I usually see are: Sediment->Carbon->Carbon->RO->DI

I agree, that picture is of a drinking water machine at a grocer. RO, but not RODI. You would have to test it (at least for TDS) to determine how safe it is to use.

+1 and the TDS of what you are viewing will be low, but not DI with a zero TDS measure.
