So I need help deciding on lighting for my new Reefer 250. Here are my options;

*2 Radion xr30w Pro's
*2 Radion xr15w Pro's
*3 Radion xr15w Pro's
*1 Kessil ap700

I want to do primarily sps eventually. I've read so many reviews in different places that I am absolutely confused at this point.

Here are the dimensions of the tank
35.5x20x21"

Thanks!

I'm not necessarily looking for easy. I'm definitely looking for high quality on this tank.
Its a very good looking quality of light. Simple to mount. Easy to use. good looking over high enf all in ones. The spread of the the light over a 48x24 in are was MIND BLOWINGLY even. NO dead spots. NO dips in intensity.
At a height of 12in it reaches a Par of approximately 550, EVENLY over the entire 48x24in area. Minimal but good looking shimmer and disco.

And I don't really like kessils.

I would also suggest talking to Bill at @ReefLEDLights . I prefer his take on light, led quality and Par and reefing..

2 XR30S Pro
Had an AI Prime there just to try out

I had everything on my reefer 250 except kessil a700.
2 xr30s were overkill. Light spillage and looked bulky on top of tank.
3 xr15 pro overkill plus does not look clean
2 xr15 pros. Looks great. Great coverage
Now i upgraded to 2 xr15 Gen 4 and what a difference from gen 3 pros. These two lights are perfect. Growth excellent.
Thats my recommendation

I am running 2x Kessil A160's on my 250 with the A Series mounts. At some point this year the 160's will be replaced with the AP700.

This is for anyone that has one or more A700
The software for these lights is very poor. They do not change colour to deep blue without jumping in other words they do not fade into the deep colour. When you program the lights to go off they do not do this synchronised.
If you are on a lighter blue colour and wish to fade out to 0% it does not it jumps to deep blue before going out.

Kessil says this is all quite normal in fact it is horrible and makes the fish jump

They are great lights if you can cope with these problems
