R2R and a custom iphone/ipad/android app. What do you think?

Thinking about having a custom R2R app made for iphone, ipad, and android devices. This is rather expensive so I would like your input. This app would allow you to just click on the R2R app on be on the forums as well as other perks you can only get by having a custom app created.

With the cost on the high side I am thinking we would have to charge a one time fee between .99 and 1.99 for the app. Please state your opinions and also vote in the poll.

Don't get me wrong I would buy the app, I'm just wondering if there is anything to gain with a custom app.

I feel I would heck I spent 5 bucks so my kids can cut a rope and swing candy into a mouth on the iPad and three days later it's old and they need a new one. I visit the site at lease 8 times a day.

Doesn't iPad/iPhone come up fine. My iPad/iPhone browses R2R fine.

Yes but with a custom app you get:

-Push notification support. Get private message and subscribed thread updates from your favorite forums in the background! Basically if you get a PM you can have it set to where your phone notifies you.

Sweet! i wouldve paid for it either way. Im sure it will take a while to develop. any guess on a time frame?
