R2R Member R2Reef & Meet! What do you think?

The basic idea is to have a host home or location in various parts of the world where members can meet one another on a certain day, get free R2R swag, win prizes, eat and talk reefs for a couple hours.

Does this sound like something that would interest you if it were close to you?

How close would it need to be?

I think most of us in the PNW are used to long drives. My location makes me game for anything from Sacramento to Seattle. Portland is probably about the best compromise for OR-WA folks though.

I agree with most, I think it would be cool to meet with some R2Rers if it worked out. Id be willing to drive 100+ miles.

I'd be up for it. Heck, I drive long distances to snorkel in the Florida Keys and to race or photograph sportscars, why not to meet fellow reefers as well. We do local club meetings at members homes to see their tanks, this would just be a different group of friends from a bit further away.

I'd love to do a R2R get together in the Middle Keys of Florida and then go do some snorkeling with our little buddies at Bahia Honda State Park!

I think working with club sponsored frag swaps that are already on going around the country would be a good idea. So we could have meet ups at all the frag swaps around the country. I think we already have reached the limit on National Reefing events. Need to do more regional events.
