I live in central Illinois and new to the forum. I'm curious if there is a way on R2R to search for local members in my area that I could contact for guidance. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

You can go to the forum section and scroll down to local reef club forum. Then pick your state. I am from central Il as well and there just isn't much going on in that section.
How central? Peoria, Bloomington?

I'm in Pekin. Couple hours from you. I believe you have Sailfin pet shop there, can't recall others. If you come this way, check out aquarium obsessions in bartonville. He has a amazing selection of coral and is always getting in new fish. Has used equipment if you want, and deals in ecotech, AI, Kessil, jabeo. Basically if you want it he will get it for you. Closest place around is in the quad cities to compare, but they don't have the coral selection.

Yes we have Sailfin, John is a good guy, other than that we don't have anything else. I really like Aquarium Obsessions, Charlie is very helpful, I like his selections and his desire for growth. It's been worth the drive every time.
I go up to the burbs quite often, there are a few places within 45 minutes of each other to make it a nice day trip.

I went to his store a couple of years ago. Its amazing if he is still in business...good for him.
