Hello all, So I've been reefing for a few years now and I've always found info and research on R2R but I've never really posted anything so here I am, bad punctuation and all!
I've got 2 tanks as of now and only one is up and running and the other I have started a build thread for you guys to help me out on building.
I've had tanks in the past but for the last year and a half I've been running:
14 Gallon Coralife Biocube
Steves retrofit LED fully loaded SPS system
I've derimmed the tank and suspended the lights, turned the back into the refugium and all that, running an Aquatop media reactor with NPX Bioplastics. Tunze osomolator nano and I actually stick my return pump in a filter sock so yeah that's pretty jazzy.
2 percula clowns
1 yellow watchmen
I have a few rbta and some acan and porites, frogspawn, hammer, torch. All the simple things really, little zoa garden.
It kind of depresses me to talk about my tank now because about 4 months ago I crashed my tank by changing out the substrate and lost everything! :(
The other tank I have is a DBP 80 gallon rimless and that I have started a build thread on and encourage you to follow and give me advice!
Thanks and nice to meet all of you!

Before and After crash

Sorry that your tank crashed but glad you are here! Welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear about your loss. It was a beautiful tank! But as it appears, bigger and better things are to come! Good luck with the new tank build. It's off to a great start! Keep us updated and welcome to the forums! :)

Welcome to R2R! Glad to have you with us.

Welcome to R2R!

Zjedi945, I had the black Hawaiian beach sand in it before and it was a little coarse looking and had white specs in it. I loved the way the Tahitian moon sand looked, it was very dark and smooth. I went against my better judgment and completely removed the Hawaiian sand and replaced it with the Tahitian thus starting a whole new cycle. I know...I'm an idiot. Lesson learned!

Welcome to R2R. We all do things we may regret, but learning from them is the best thing that come out of it. Don't be afraid to ask questions in your build thread as there are a lot of folks willing and able to help along the way.

Ah ok. Well I hope everything is getting back to normal now.

Welcome home, you will love it here! Beautiful tank!
