Hi there! Welcome to R2R. What exactly do you want your tank to look like? Do you have a picture or specific video to show us?

I believe I need more live rock?! I would like it to gradually get higher, have a little island towards the front! They gave me supposed live wet Tonga rock but these people don't know what they are talking about! I think I should of just got Fiji or marshal! It's a 65 gal it's tall and wide. I don't believe it's properly set up?!

It looks fine to me. The rock needs more time to develop coraline algae. The disco effect your reffering to is probably from your LED lighting. The ripples in the surface of the water cause a "shimmer" effect that most people love. If you want coraline on your rocks, just give it time. You can add a frag plug or piece of rock with coraline on it and scrape some off in your tank. That will get it to spread, but it will still take time. If your not liking the "shimmer" effect of your lights, you can remedy that by getting T5HO lighting.

Did u watch the video u folks have with Xavier? I want my tank to look like that?! I don't specifically have a pic persay... I want another layer of rock behind my other rock that goes up to the top of the tank so I can put more corals! Would that be considered to much in the tank? I have 65 lbs of live rock as of now...

That is a great tank! I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but your tank will never look like that one. It's impossible to replicate another reefer's tank. There are too many variables to it. You can use it as inspiration though. @Afishionado is on the forums here and I'm sure he wouldn't mind answering your questions as to how to get close to his results. Maybe try searching to see if he has a build thread you can read through also. Good luck!

I think Richard (Afishionado) is the guy who filmed this. The user that the tank belongs to is @ProfessorX I believe.

Hey no problem! Just keep in mind that this is YOUR tank and it will be a reflection of your hard work, dedication and the things you love. Because of that, it will never look exactly like anybody else's. Though, it's easy enough to take inspiration from another tank and apply it to your own.
