I currently have a 20 gallon long reeftank with 2 clownfish. The clownfish are peaceful. I was wondering if I could put a baby biota orange lined rabbitfish for a year? I have great filtration on my tank.

The rabbits grow pretty fast. I would say it will not last a year. Why do you want it in there? Where is it going afterwards?

Clownfish are not peaceful. Especially once they become a mated pair. They are damsels and very territorial. I have a pair in a 29g and they will attack me if I put my hand anywhere in that tank. I don't even remotely think about putting another fish in there.

The tank is too small for an adult no doubt. As far as babies go, it's more doable if you really do have a plan and can take care of it. In general, it's not a great idea though.

I would say no as well. I purchased mine when he was a few inches from TSM, and within 6 months he doubled in size. They grow super fast and mine isn’t a great algae eater. He waits for nori and frozen food, barely grazes. With a 20 gallon, have you thought about snails and hermits? Or an algae blenny?

I bought these from Biota one year ago, as mini-micro babies. Now they are in a 150 gallon. I would say the answer to your question is “no”. Best wishes in your search for the perfect fish.
