Hey all, as the post says I have a question about the lens. I have an xr15 pro currently equipped with the 90 angle lens. I want to ultimately achieve a wider more even spread light. I have a mixed reef as of now. Some chalices, acros, z/p, scolys, and a hammer colony. I don't have anything to measure the par so I can make the transition as easy as I would like to. Can anyone help shed some light on this situation?

If you spread the beam you will get less par in each specific spot since it's more distributed. Swap it and slowly bump it up a bit.

This is a blind guess but 18" is 2/3 of 24" spread do in theory you will get 2/3 the par you had with the 90 lens (pure assumption!)

When I used a G2 Pro with wide angle lenses the PAR was about 55% or slightly less than with the 90's. But since the output is not truly linear I would increase your settings by no more than 25%, at least in the beginning and see how it goes.

As both people have said so far, go ahead and bump the intensity up, but I would do it using the acclimation program.
