I have had a Radion G3 over my 30g frag tank (24x24x10) for about six months now, and am not getting the same growth and color that I am getting from my zoas in my DT (T5's). I have primarily zoas in the frag tank, but also some sps that aren't doing that well either, but my main concern are the zoas. Seriously considering selling it and getting a T5 fixture for my frag tank.

I am currently running it about 50%. Light is about 18" over the water and zoas are anywhere from 4-8" below the top of the water. Lights start waking up at 1:00 and are completely off by 10. I have 5-6 hours of full light.

Anyone have success with a Radion over a zoa tank?

thats pretty simple....not enough light. I have a 30g run the lights at 40% 8inches off the water line. for 12 hours my zoas multiply like crazy

Can you be more specific on what is at 50%.. U have 6 different channels to control.. Which channels are at which percentages.. I would keep whites reds and greens at about 30% and blue channels around 65% others around 50%.. If your whites are at 50 that's the zoa issue.. Could the sps be flow related and not light related?

If its a regular G3 and not a pro i definitly think its insufficient. your zoas are at the least 22 inches away from the light and at the most 26inch the G3 pro is recommended for 24inch depth at 100% and it has better penetration than the regular g3.

Part of it could be the flow....I have recently added an MP10, so that issue should be resolved and I am waiting ot see if the sps start responding better. Some zoass just don't look as healthy...especially my bigger palys. The smaller zoas (rastas, Tree House of Horror, Blues Clues) are doing fine....just my bigger palys (Sunny D's, Hallucinations, Gobstopper types) are just smaller than they should be and not fat and healthy.

Good points....I have it on one of the presets and honestly don't know what each individual intensities are.
