Radion G3 pro intensity with wide angle lenses?

I've had my Radions for a little over a year and I'm currently running them at 75% with wide angle lenses on RMS mounts. I'm getting ok growth but nothing to impress anyone. I have a friend who runs his at 100% with stock lenses but has a much deeper tank than mine. Just curious to see what others are running for good growth.

There's so many variables like how many you have, how close they are, how high they are mounted, the intensity of each color channel, how dirty your water is, etc.
It's hard to compare with others just going by the overall intensity setting.
Getting some good PAR readings is your best bet in determining whether or not you're getting enough light, and even then, coral can adapt to a degree.
And lighting is only one part of the equation that can effect growth rates.

True...it's easy to ascribe more importance to one factor or another, but the reality is that corals are supremely adaptable and depend on no one thing to live.

While generalizing, they thrive from around 10,000 lux on up, some even less. Light is not that important to corals - even stony corals.

Nutrients, gas exchange and water flow, and mineral composition are at least of equal weight to light.

Please o please look at getting a lux light meter. Even the $15 red one from Amazon.
Lux meter if you don't know measures light intensity only.
Because of the different color settings avail in those lights par is hard to calculate unless you have a par meter and both are set to different colors But...
I would love love love to know what you both are getting. Measured at the top of the tank. Esp if one is wide and one is standard. It will tell you exactly the difference in intensity.

On a 36x15 tank, with about 12" of water in it (it's 16" deep) I run 2 at about 80-90% max midday, with 100-100-100-30-13-9 (uv, b, b, w, g, r)
I've been building to that for awhile, but I think that's about the sweet spot for mine. (a lot of stuff on the sand with minimal rocks; gets a good 130-160 on the sand if the new apogee is actually correct) I might be able to go higher, but too soon to tell as I've only had the apogee a short time.
