Hello- I'll try to keep this concise. Please let me know what information is needed to find a solution to the problem

I ran a new dedicated 12 gauge wire to a 20 amp Square D 120v 60hz 'Qwik-Gard' GFCI breaker for a new tank.
When I plug My G3 Pro Radions into this GFCI protected outlet the breaker trips. It's usually instant but it sometimes takes as long as 10 minutes. The lights themselves don't have to be on for them to trip the breaker. The fans turn on when powered up. The plugs are standard grounded plugs.
Everything else on the tank is run off of this same breaker with no problem.

Do the gen 3 pros put a large draw on the nuetral side?
I have three of these lights from two different sources- all used, all cause the breaker to trip.

Process of elimination:

-The breaker is not overloaded
-I have plugged the lights into several other local GFCI's (non breaker type outlets and power strip types) with no problems
-Tried installing a new breaker of the same style, no help
-When I plug these lights into another outlet with this same brand and type of breaker it trips. (i have a total of 3 in my panel)
-I have Gen 2 non pros running on this same brand and type of breaker with no problems. (another breaker dedicated to a different tank)

hi,

i had the same issue with one of my 3 radions triggering the GFI.
I contacted ecotech over that issue, but i'm in Canada and their service is the worst BS ever, i was suppose to get a new power supply, but the company i deal with send me the wrong power supply, shipped it back at my expenses, exchanges a few mail to solve this... and its been more than a year... without resolution.
light is working fine, jsut no on my GFI.
Contact Ecotech, they might be able to help.

So I'm not alone! Didn't see much info out there on the www though.
I suppose I could contact them. Like I said, the lights are used and no doubt out of the warranty period. I would just be happy to know that they won't burn the house down or that this isn't the what happens right before failure.
