Gotta say, after calibration I'm blown away by the G4. My only caveat is I greatly underestimated how much stronger they are than G3's..

At 55% I'm burning corals, had to lower overall to 50% of the WWC colors program and it still may be a bit much. I'm full SPS by the way, 24x24x18.

Saying I'm surprised at how little wattage is being used is putting it very mildly... My photoperiod is a tad long for sure, because I'm usually gone all day.

So where do you keep your Radion G4

I Currently run them at 70% intensity...I get around 200-250 PAR on most of my SPS and 100-200 on everything else.
When I started my tank in april i had them at 100% on all channel since my PAR meter was giving my SPS PAR of 250-350 range (as recommended). Anyways, this PAR level was overkill in a new system with low nutrients so chasing PAR went bad for me. I have change it 3 times in 9 months and had many different settings but found it impossible to increase intensity when the entire day has many different points of change. So I found myself trying to adjust intensity at different times per day and the entire day would be ruined. Therefore for the past 4 months I just switched it to a easy to adjust setting as can be seen below. I only enjoy my tank in the evenings so I still get to see the corals and the setting is easy to manipulate if needed.

I run mine at 60% on the coral lab SPS PHX14 which maxes out the lights to 42%. Not sure on the par but sps and lps all doing well, good growth and color.

Interesting Never seen someone run them so low.. Have you found 15% to just be more ideal for your application? It is a shallow tank and mounted fairly close so I could imagine your getting them good PAR and photoperiod

I’m running at 70% and my schedule is close to the AB+ schedule. I’m mostly growing lps and easy sps like montipora. I have some lps high up that is growing really well like acans, blastos, zoas. I thought this might be too much light but I’ve just let the corals tell me. I will note that I did run the acclimation schedule so there wasn’t a huge jump in light overnight.

I have 2 Gen4Pros over a 4ft tank. I run them at 45% max and I use the AB+ with some slight modifications.

phx14 @ 55% 14" height

4 over a 5ft tank 12 inches over the water. Max is 70% but it only climbs there and goes back down to 55% over 5 hours

I'm currently running 3 xr30G3 over my tank. Ramp up and down for 12 hrs with 3-4 hrs at 100% mid day.
About to switch out to 2 xr15G4 pro with 4- 39w t5. I would like to add 2 more once I can get the bracket but maybe that's too much?
Is the G4 pro that much brighter? Maybe 100% will be too high.
I currently get great color in my sps.

I’m using 3 xr30 g4 pros over my reefer 750. Using the coral labs sps AB+ 50% intensity. Par reads 280 7” BWL and 120 par on the sand
