I currently have 2 Ap700s with the aquatic life t5 fixture. My 72x30x28 tank has two clear acrylic center braces. So 3 separate screen tops with the framing gives me some bad shadowing. I’ve added a lot of SPS the last few month as they have finally taken off. I believe I’ll get better coverage and growth with 3 G5’s. The Ap700s just don’t line up well on my tank. I believe i can still use the hybrid aquatic life fixture with G5’s. Will I need it though? Leave it off until the corals grow? There all frags now. Or keep the t5s on the normal 8 hours. Start the G5 super low.

I don’t want any losses from burnt tips. I run 8-8.3 dkh and keep my nutrients up with dosing if needed. As tank is fallow for now.

Do you have any better pictures on how the AP700 are fitting into fixture? I am having issues getting ap700 to fit in well.

I have my G5’s installed now. Make sure you have the right brackets and fixture. I know there are two versions of the fixture now. Mine fit no problem. Post some pics...the bracket installed on the light. Maybe I can help.

That’s a different fixture and bracket than mine. Any other brackets come with it? Mine screwed to the top of the fixture. You took out the top 4 allen head screws and screwed the bracket on. The bracket then fit into the top of the fixture. The bracket was long than the fixture opening. The Ap700 hung from the bracket.
