I love my Vega. I'd go with the Hydra 52's. Just more options. Depending on what kind of corals you want you might need 3 AI fixtures.

Welcome to the forum!

The Radion Gen 2 will output more PAR than an original Hydra, but I haven't seen any independent reviews of the Hydra FiftyTwo yet. I'm thinking that FiftyTwos will be more than comparable to the Radion Gen2.

One thing to consider is the controls for these lights. If you are interested in controlling the colors and intensity, the Hydra and Hydra FiftyTwo need a New Controller or Director. That's $80 or $100, respectively. Not really sure about the Radion lineup, but their solution to online control is the ReefLink, which runs $200. It does give control over the MP wireless pumps if you have any that were made recently, though.

If you have or plan on getting an Apex Controller, you can control the Ecotech Marine light and pumps through an additional module. There's always that to consider as well.
