I have 4 radions on an SPS dominated frag tank. The frag tank measures 66"x48". Running 2x G2s and 2x G3s. The light is 12" from the water. I have a frag rack that is about 2" from the bottom.

I bought the SenEye to get PAR readings, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. At 45% intensity I'm getting readings only in the 100 Par range where the top of the corals are which is about 5" below the surface.

Anyone have any suggestions of what intensity I should be running at? I'm afraid to crank it up and bleach out my corals. The colors aren't there at hte moment.

I would make sure to get 120 degree lenses. I wondered about the 90's and the lazer effect people talked of. I moved a frag a couple inches towards the center about midway down a 75g with lights 8" above the surface and the tank filled 1" from the top, took less than 24 hours to turn to a clear jelly. :(
After getting 120 lenses I can't describe how much better of an experience they are, I wonder why they don't include them, but I guess they know you're gonna buy em.. :p

Regarding settings, I move mine +/- 5% max per few days and things have been ok with the 120's. (iirc they reduce 10-25% par, but I've not seen anything not respond well) For better colors go 10% max on red and green and 15-20% max on whites, 100% on blues/uv, and just adjust general intensity. I myself started acclimation at around 25% with those settings. I've heard of others starting higher but I was a bit worried myself. That range also helps limit nuisance algae/cyano, and the sheer power of the whites, which after so many fixtures I consider white filler spectrum with any led.

I have the 120 degree lenses on my G3 but not on my G2. I'll try playing around with the different intensities, but I did check out the par levels again today. At 18" from the light (12" between the light and the water surface, and 6" from between the water surface to the top of acro), I was getting readings of 120-140 par. Intensity was at 45% under 12K lighting. I'm going to try increasing intensity by 5% per week until I reach 80%-100%.

I also tested the same spot at 100% intensity and was getting readings of (350-400). Just afraid to fry my acros.

Here's a few pages from my fav's for some ballparks, can't find the other one. It was a guy who did par readings like the other 2 but between the 90's and the 120's, I wanna say he said it was basically a 20-25% reduction in par in those locations iirc..
(they're elsewhere so google these)
